The development and implementation of a proactive and effective PREP will accomplish the following tasks
To create an eye-opener on MSW management and environmental impact to raise public attention and awareness.
To educate the public and foster an understanding on the essential needs of good waste management habits
To promote the concept of waste reduction and enhance acceptance of the Municipal Solid Waste program.
To collaborate with the the Municipal Corporations, Education Ministry, other related government agencies, and NGOs on developing education programmes in schools and other awareness campaigns
To develop separate modules to address the differences in perception of waste management, target groups and medium of communications to break through to each group.
